RISE is currently accepting applications from talented and motivated architectural designers, associates, and interns. Individuals working for RISE work from their own homes on a part-time, contract basis.
Based on the individual’s skill set, potential responsibilities may include:
Measuring existing spaces and producing the necessary plans to begin renovation/addition work
Assisting with construction documents
Assisting with design of new single family homes, renovation/addition to existing single family homes, and/or design of small commercial spaces
Creating Revit families and templates to streamline the production process
Ideal Candidates are those:
Interested in design along the Gulf Coast and how to address the issues that are inherent within that.
Seeking part-time work. Whether that is to supplement your other part-time position, you already work full-time but are loving that architect life and want even more, or you’re juggling a work/life/family balance and want a position that keeps you in the architecture field but need flexibility.
Who enjoy the benefits of working from home and feel comfortable primarily communicating via email and phone. Though there will still be deadlines to meet, working from home equals: flexible hours, wearing shorts/yoga pants/that weird outfit you love/etc while you design, and never forgetting to bring your lunch. Of course, it also means you must be good at managing your own time and workload.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
Must be proficient in Revit; prefer proficiency in AutoCAD as well
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred
2+ years experience in an architecture office, or with a custom home builder
Experience with single family residential designs and small commercial build outs, AND/OR
Experience measuring existing spaces and creating as-built drawings for them.
Both hourly and project based
